COMP AND COMP PRO IS ONE TEAM
This group is for highschool age skiers who have had some experience on nordic skis in their past. If they are brand new to nordic, please check out Teen Adventure. The purpose of Comp and Comp Pro is to keep friends together while respecting different goals.

What is Comp VS Comp Pro?
Comp
Highschool age nordic skiers with experience on skis who are looking for casual skiing opportunities. Racing is optional.
Comp Pro
Highschool age nordic athletes who are motivated to learn more about racing and technique. Ideally skiers are motivated to learn about how to train like a professional, interested in technique and race strategies, and ready for competitive racing, with options to attend races throughout the Intermountain Region. Athlete have the opportunity to travel in the GNST van to Junior National Qualifiers in Bozeman MT, Soldier Hollow Utah, Bogus Basin ID, and Sun Valley ID.
Second-year U14 (Age 13) skiers may join the Comp team with coach permission.

Glacier Nordic Center located at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course
Approximately October 27, 2025 – March 7, 2026
What to Bring & Equipment Needed
Equipment Needed
All participants are encouraged to have their own skate and classic equipment at this age.
Limited rentals are available at $130 for a full set. GNST only provides combination boots, kids are encouraged to have specific skate and classic boots.

Program Costs & Days
Comp – $675
Three days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) 4pm to 5:45pm. Can join early morning strength in gym before school.
Comp Pro – $975
Five-Six days/week. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 4pm to 5:45pm. Saturday in the morning. Strength early morning 2x a week before school Tuesdays/Thursdays.

- West Yellowstone Thanksgiving Training Camp (in 2019, the cost was $600 for the week)
- Race and Travel Fees (races range from $100-$500 per trip depending on the length of the trip, distance of the race venue, and number of skiers traveling)
- USSA and IMD licenses (for skiers participating in JNQs)
Scholarship Information
Scholarships are available for Tuition Assistance. Please fill out and submit our GNST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION.
Applicants will be notified by email no later than November 30, 2025. After scholarship request form is submitted and reviewed, they will be awarded either through a registration code to use DURING the registration process, or will be refunded to the household account payment method after registration. Applicants will be notified by email no later than November 30, 2025. Please apply to the scholarship early. If you need to spread out your payments, please select our monthly payment option. If you need assistance covering initial funds prior to scholarship acceptance, please email jennie@glaciernordicclub.org for assistance with solutions.

Winslow Nichols Scholarship Fund – For athletes who want to race but need financial assistance, we have a special, separate scholarship fund to assist with exactly that. Please download and fill out THIS FORM, save and then submit via email prior to any race weekend.
