About

Glacier Nordic Club is a Montana community Nordic ski club located in beautiful Whitefish, Montana. We service all of Flathead County, with majority participation from Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell. 

1. We groom and maintain trails in four locations: the Glacier Nordic Center located at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course (12km); Big Mountain Nordic Trails/Haskill Basin TH (26km) in Whitefish; Round Meadows (20km) and the Meadow Lake Golf Course in Columbia Falls (9km). Skiers of all ages and abilities enjoy the golf course trails; advanced skiers enjoy the upper Big Mountain Nordic Trails accessed from the Big Mountain Trail Head (steep and curvy descents/ascents) and beginning skiers like the more gradual terrain accessed from the Haskill Basin Trail head. 
2. We operate the Glacier Nordic Shop at the Glacier Nordic Center which offers rentals and lessons to both locals and visitors. Here we also offer Adult programs for all levels and abilities. 
3. We offer ski education programs through the Glacier Nordic Ski Team and Chet Hope Youth Ski League for youth aged 4–18. Those who register for a youth season program gain access to our large youth rental fleet, where we rent gear at an affordable cost for the whole season to program participants. 

Glacier Nordic Club Inc (GNC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and is supported by annual memberships, donations, grants, programs, the Glacier Nordic Shop, and the Great Fish Community Challenge. Funds raised support youth ski programs, daily grooming operations, events and community involvement.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Glacier Nordic Club hereinafter called GNC: To promote and inspire a life-long love of cross country  skiing. 

Purpose: To promote cross-country skiing in the Flathead Valley through:

1. Encourage friendship among all cross-country skiers and introduce the sport to newcomers.
2. Support community cross-country ski programs.
3. Encourage the development of machine-groomed ski trails.  
4. Support quality cross-country ski races.
